After completing the course Justice by Michael Sandel

2020. 11. 14. 18:53 | Posted by Johnmom

The course Justice deals with what we ought to know and question about justice as a whole not just as an individual but also as a member who collectively consists of humanity by which we define ourselves as human-beings, also which invariably gives us the ultimate obligation that we ought to benefit one another prior to any self-interests as long as we wish and choose to coexist peacefully among one another as well as prosper into many generations to come. In that light, I believe justice must be defined and applied only as a means of fulfilling humanity as a whole. To do which, we all are obliged to abide by the intrinsic human moral values-in light with Kants pure reason and Aristotles teleology respectively- which I believe, is strictly essential in achieving common goods for entire humanity in its full value and only by which we will be able to hand over humanity in its full value to our next generations as they are for granted to be benefited and prosperous with it for the generations to come just as we all have been by what our ancestors secured for us.

I believe the lecturer, Michael Sandel at the end of the course leaves the question, whats the right thing to do? open to audiences and listeners to imply that the answer lies within us. Therefore, I hope to hear or learn the follow-ups of practicing the same question given to Michael Sandel himself as well as many other listeners over a decade ago since the question of justice has become never as seriously at stake as of now in 2020.
